The 2013 Pennsylvania American Legion Baseball State Championship Tournament commences on Tuesday morning at Bear Stadium. The tournament will feature seven regional champions, and the host Boyertown, a regional runner-up.
We will be at the stadium to provide live audio coverage for each pitch of the tournament, as well as Twitter updates throughout each game. If you can't make it out to Boyertown, tune in to the live audio feed which will be available on the front page of the site tomorrow morning. Twitter updates will be available through the live coverage page as well as on the right side of the site.
If you'd like to follow all of the action but can't be near a computer, a smartphone will work just as well. Spreaker, the website through which we'll be broadcasting, has an iPhone and Android app which will allow you to listen to the coverage anywhere. Twitter updates can be followed in a similar fashion with any number of Twitter based apps. If you don't have a smartphone or computer at your disposal, it is still possible to get live Twitter updates texted to your phone. You can sign up for a Twitter account, if you don't already have one, and follow 'palegionball'. Then you can click on our logo to head to our account and click on the silhouette of a person on the upper right side of the screen. From this menu, simply choose 'turn on mobile notifications' and you will receive a text update of everything we post to Twitter. Standard texting rates may apply based on your carrier and you must set up your account with your cell number in order for this option to work.
Without further ado, the first day's schedule is:
Game 1: Spring Grove vs. Blackhawk, 9:30am
Game 2: Millcreek vs. Downingtown, doubleheader
Game 3: Twin Valley vs. Greater Pittston, 4pm
