The Region 5 Tournament will begin Saturday with four games being hosted by the Wyoming Valley League.
Mansfield-Wellsboro, the Bradford-Tioga champion will open up their tournament play in the first game of the day against West Scranton, the second representative from District 11. That game will take place on the campus of Hanover High School.
Swoyersville, the Wyoming Valley regular season champion, will take the host spot and play the day's only game at Spartan Stadium in Kingston against the defending regional champion, Milton. Milton qualified for the tournament by way of a one game playoff against the Susquehanna Valley League runner-up.
South Scranton and Jersey Shore will meet in the day's second game in Hanover. South Scranton is the District 11 champion while Jersey Shore made the tournament by winning the West Branch League.
The final game of the day will feature Greater Pittston, a team that has enjoyed great success in recent years in the region, going up against Berwick. Greater Pittston will be representing the Wyoming Valley League as it's champion, while Berwick took the title for the Susquehanna Valley League.
