Fayette County Releases Playoff Schedule

Seven teams will participate in this year's Fayette County postseason tournament.  California, by virtue of its regular season title will get a bye to the best of three semifinals.  The first round, which will be single elimination, will begin Thursday.  Six seed Farmington will face off with three seed Belle Vernon, seven seed Carmichaels will head to second seed Uniontown, and four seed Colonial 3 will play host to five seed Connellsville.  The lowe...

West Mifflin 2011 Season Schedule

West Mifflin will begin its 2011 campaign with a league game this Thursday against South Park.  Both teams will compete this year in a restructured Allegheny County setup, with the county's four divisions combined into three.  More information and a full team schedule for West Mifflin can be found at their team site below.

Region 6 League Restructuring

Region 6 will see a major overhaul in the alignment of its leagues this summer.  While the Beaver County and Fayette County leagues will remain the same as last year, the teams of the Allegheny Southern, Mon-Yough, Ohio River, and Allegheny River leagues will take part in league realignment.

Spring City Jumps All Over Hopewell

Hopewell's great aspirations for the state tournament were put to an end this afternoon, when they dropped a lopsided game against Region 3 champion Spring City.  Considered two of the top teams in the tournament, many expected this matchup in the winner's bracket final.

Boyertown Cruises To 7-0 Win Over Hopewell

Hopewell certainly has the top pitcher in the tournament, their ace literally hasn't lost a game since last year; while Boyertown may very well have the deepest pitching staff in the state again this year.  Their unsung number two starter Steve Price turned in the top pitching performance of the tournament thus far.

Dierdorf Does It All In Hopewell Win

Scott Dierdorf was a one man wrecking crew in game two of the 2010 Pennsylvania American Legion Baseball Tournament earlier today at Bear Stadium.  He had ten strikeouts on the mound for Hopewell, and also added a solo home run.

Sixteen Team Allegheny Playoffs Begin

Allegheny County has one of the most unique playoffs formats in the state, as each of the league's in the county sends representatives to one county-wide playoff tournament.  The tournament began Saturday with eight first round games.  The results were:

Hopewell Wins Beaver County Opener

Following a very successful run during the high school season, Hopewell was forced to complete its legion schedule in just sixteen days.  The teams picked up right where they left off in the Spring, winning all fourteen games scheduled.  This same momentum stuck with Hopewell, as it defeated Beaver Falls 11-1 in the opener of the Best of Five Beaver County Championship Series.  Hopewell is now just two wins away from another trip to the Region Six Tourname...

Region 6 Game Updates

There were several games slated for this past week in the Fayette County league in southwestern PA.  It appears as though those games have been postponed to a later date due to the ongoing state high school baseball playoffs.

We'll post results of games from across the state as they become available both here and in the corresponding region results page.

The Region 6 results page has now been updated with links to almost every league and team in the region!  To access the information, simply click on the desired team or league name and the site will open in a new window!

The standings page for Region 6 now reflects some changes in the Southern and Ohio River for this year.  Each league lost a team, and the page now shows that.

Information in Western PA isn't too easy to come by, so if you see a team listed on the site that is no longer playing, please leave us a comment and we'll take care of it.
